Business Ethics Helpline
IMA offers a free Ethics Helpline service to members and other accountants and financial professionals in business related to the IMA members. Contact Helpline for a confidential consultation on ethical issues.
After a preliminary assessment of the situation, to determine the type of ethics issue(s) encompassed, a member of IMA’s Committee on Ethics will telephone the caller (if contact information is provided) to assist the individual in understanding and applying the provisions of IMA’s Statement of Ethical Professional Practice. Accordingly, the discussion shall focus on how the situation relates to the provisions of the Statement and frame the issue in the context of ethical principles and standards. Confidentiality shall be maintained at all times.
The IMA Ethics Helpline can support you to navigate and think through ethical business situations, but it cannot provide recommendations or legal guidance. To access the IMA Ethics Helpline in the U.S. and Canada, call: (800) 245-1383.
Individuals outside of the U.S. and Canada may have to dial another toll-free access code first before dialing the Ethics Helpline. Please follow the instructions below:

- Find your country and its corresponding number on the page.
- Dial the numbers provided before you dial the ethics helpline number.
If you have difficulty calling the toll-free numbers, please contact IMA Member Service at +1 (201) 573-9000 or ima@imanet.org for support.

For a call back, please include your phone number along with your details of your ethical question, dilemma, or concern. All proprietary and personal details will be kept confidential.
